ESPN Unlimited through DIRECTV provides streaming access to ESPN channels, ESPN + content, live events, and on-demand content in the ESPN app.

Content exclusive to ESPN Unlimited App: WWE Premium Live Events, top-tier soccer, PGA Tour events, NHL, UFC, and other leagues.
All ESPN Networks: Access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, ACC Network, and more.
Live & On-Demand content: Watch live games, studio shows, originals, and on-demand replays.
Major Sports Coverage: Access to NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, WNBA, college sports and playoffs, and major tennis and golf tournaments.

The ESPN app required a high-speed internet connected device to stream content.

Satellite customers

If you activate ESPN Unlimited through DIRECTV, it won't automatically replace any existing ESPN subscription you might have. To avoid additional charges, you'll need to cancel your existing ESPN subscription.

How to get ESPN Unlimited through DIRECTV

Select any of the qualifying Genre Packs or Signature Packages.
After signing up or switching to a qualifying package, you'll receive an email for activation which you'll need to complete before accessing the ESPN app.
If you need to switch your package, sign-in to your account and go to My TV package, select a package, then follow the prompts to complete the change.

Activate your ESPN Unlimited subscription through DIRECTV

Select Activate Now from the activation email.
The link will take you to the ESPN website where you'll set up your ESPN User ID and password, which does not need to match your DIRECTV User ID and password.
If you already have an ESPN Subscription, select the Activate Now link, and sign-in with your existing ESPN User ID and password. Since your former paid account will still be active, you'll need to cancel it to avoid being billed.
Emails are re-sent every 7-days to eligible customers who haven't yet activated the ESPN Unlimited account.
Lost the email? No worries, just sign-in to your account and go to My TV package, locate the Activate ESPN Unlimited link and follow the prompts.

Sign-in to the ESPN app

The ESPN is preloaded on your Gemini device, or you can download the app on many compatible devices.
Device set-up and compatibility information: ESPN Supported Devices.
Sign-in using the ESPN User ID and password you created during the activation step with ESPN.
Note: if you sign-in with your DIRECTV User ID and password to the ESPN app, you will not be able to access the exclusive ESPN Unlimited content. Sign-in with your DIRECTV User ID and password give you streaming on-the-go access to the same ESPN channel available within your package.

Troubleshoot viewing issues with the ESPN app

Make sure your device is connected to the internet.
Internet download speed can affect your viewing experience. We suggest these internet download speeds: 8Mbps per stream in-home, or 2.5 to 7.5 Mbps mobile on-the-go. Test Your Internet Speed
Check if your device has the latest operating version.
Check if the ESPN app needs an update.
If other apps or channels are working on your device, the issue may be isolated to the ESPN app. Refer to ESPN Fix a Problem for additional information.

Where can I find my Disney Customer ID?

If you need to contact ESPN for assistance, they may ask for your Disney Customer ID.
To find this, just sign-in to your account and go to My TV package, locate the Disney Customer ID link.
